Dorothy Hinson Collection
This collection consists of materials from Dorothy Hinson’s time at the Iowa State Teachers College. It contains: one sheet, with handwritten annotations, titled, “Primary Education Curriculum,” outlining different courses and general notes about the courses, dated May 1925; a Winifred Merril violin recital program, dated November 19; three term reports / credit sheets dated 1925-1926; and Dorothy’s ISTC diploma, dated March 12, 1929.

Lavina Barkdoll Kirchner and Elsa Barkdoll letter
This letter, from Elsa Barkdoll to Lavina (Barkdoll) Kirchner, is dated June 2, 1907. It is written in a souvenir letter album produced by Veatch Studio, which features scenes from the Iowa State Normal School (now the University of Northern Iowa) campus.
Jon R. Swenson collection
The Jon Swenson collection dates from 1951 to 1957 and consists of thirteen ISTC athletics programs, primarily from the football team, of which Swenson was a member. Other sports programs include basketball, track, and wrestling. The collection also includes biographical information about Swenson.
Marjorie Cook collection
This collection contains three items from Marjorie Cook’s time as a student: a copy of the 1935 Old Gold yearbook (includes some minor handwritten annotations); the May 1935 issue of the student publication The Purple Pen, which contains articles written by Cook; and a Sigma Tau Delta pin.
Mary Ann Flint Bolton Papers
This collection consists primarily of class handouts, class notes, printed material, and term papers from her library science courses (Binders 1-3). There is also a smaller amount of material which Bolton acquired after she began her career as a librarian in Nebraska (Binder 4).
