This collection contains three items from Marjorie Cook’s time as a student: a copy of the 1935 Old Gold yearbook (includes some minor handwritten annotations); the May 1935 issue of the student publication The Purple Pen, which contains articles written by Cook; and a Sigma Tau Delta pin.

Scope and Contents This is a collection of class notes taken by Marlys Kay Messingham as an undergraduate student at the University of Northern Iowa from 1964 through 1968 and then as a graduate student in the 1978 fall semester. The collection is organized chronologically and then class by class.  Class notes are extensive in both length and depth.  Included in some class folders are course outlines, hand-outs, and examinations. Scope and Contents This collection consists of one athletic jacket, one print score chart from the 1975 season labeled Panther Paw Chart -- Defense, and one undated football playbook. These items belonged to alumnus Martin “Marty” Stratton, who played football at UNI in the 1974, 1975, and 1976 seasons. The jacket is purple with Stratton’s number, 90, embroidered in yellow on the back. This collection contains 11 images, in jpeg format, of digitized photographs from an ISTC alumni scrapbook. The images depict campus buildings and people around the early 1920s. The digtized images include handwritten captions for most of the photographs. Original file names of the jpegs, as assigned by the donor, are retained.

This collection consists primarily of class handouts, class notes, printed material, and term papers from her library science courses (Binders 1-3). There is also a smaller amount of material which Bolton acquired after she began her career as a librarian in Nebraska (Binder 4).

The Melva Starr collection contains a Dancer Hall handbook and campus building postcards from Starr's time as a student at the University of Northern Iowa (UNI). It also includes a few articles about UNI, including an historical overview, an article about President John J. Kamerick, and information about the Gilchrist fire.

Scope and Contents

This collection contains materials related to the Iowa State Teachers College during the years 1913-1914 and 1923-1928. Materials include programs for concerts and commencement; the school fight / loyalty song; picture postcards; photographs of Cedar Falls and the ISTC campus; football schedules; and more. It also includes a handful of materials related to the construction and opening of the Campanile.
