William W. and Helen (Lewis) Gibson Collection
Consisting of a variety of publications, the William W. and Helen (Lewis) Gibson Collection will aid researchers interested in rural school teaching methods, student activities, and culture. Dating from 1883-1968, the collection contains many of the Great Men and Famous Women volumes, as well as issues of The Instructor, Child Life, and Primary Educator, among others.
William Waack Papers
William Waack (1928-2018) was associated with teacher education at UNI in several important capacities. Of significance in this collection is material related to the Teacher Education Enrollment Cap Proposal (1991); the Field Experience Task Force (1984); the Master of Arts in Education (Professional Development) (1997); and the Goodlad Study on the Education of Educators (1988).
Willis H. Wagner Papers
This collection includes material associated with the preparation of Professor Wagner's publications; correspondence dealing with professional associations; records relating to his Extension Service work; material associated with his aid work in Viet Nam, and a limited number of his publications.
Wilma Leslie Garnett Collection
Garnett spent thirteen months in Cambodia in 1955-1956 working for the International Cooperation Administration as an education consultant. Much of this collection is the result of her work in Cambodia and her continuing interest in that country. Dr. Ron Leonhardt, Assistant Professor of History at Albany State University, provided translations for some materials in Box 8, Folder "Cambodian publications" in June 2021 - please see the inventory.
