Scope and Contents

Gladys Holland’s materials relate to her time as a student at the Iowa State Teachers College (ISTC) and in the Iowa State Teachers Branch Summer School. Included are directories, housing and campus handbooks, programs, an ISTC admissions letter, an adviser’s card, and Gladys’ class card.

Also included are a “Class Autographs” book from the Atlantic Branch Summer School with handwritten notes; an expenses notebook; and two small photograph booklets featuring photos from campus.

Scope and Contents

This collection consists of materials from Atwood’s time at ISTC from 1925-1926. Included is information about courses he took as well as a Commercial Education Curriculum planning schedule.

Scope and Contents Grace Shining's collection consists of two notebooks. Her expense book dates from 1905 to 1915 and spans the time when she was first enrolled at the Iowa State Normal School (ISNS) to her early teaching career. She was sixteen at the beginning of the notebook and twenty-five at its end. The bulk of the notebook covers her expenses while enrolled at ISNS, including tuition, clothing, car fare, room and board, and more.
