This collection consists of commencement programs from the University of Northern Iowa, State College of Iowa, Iowa State Teachers College, and Iowa State Normal School. They date from 1878 to present. The commencement programs have been digitized in PDF format.

The Daryl Pendergraft Papers contains bound books, note cards, newspaper clippings, film, reel-to-reel audiotapes, and a cassette tape. These materials primarily cover Pendergraft's work as assistant to President Maucker from 1950-1970 and President Kamerick from 1970 to 1971. There are also newspaper clippings relating to UNI.

Principal Gilchrist made his personal library available to early Normal School students. Some of the books in this collection quite likely were part of the collection that he shared. Some of the books were inscribed by Principal Gilchrist, his daughter Maude Gilchrist, and his son Fred C. Gilchrist.

Scope and Contents The Homer H. Seerley papers consist primarily of Seerley's incoming and outgoing correspondence. The correspondence is a mix of both bound volumes and loose leaf papers, and covers a wide variety of subjects, including the administrative functioning of the school, commentary on social issues, and matters concerning World War I. It also includes reports and financial information from ISNS, as well as a list of books owned by Mr. Gilchrist.
