This collection is strong in the areas of student assessment and General Education, especially during the time of transition from General Education to the Liberal Arts Core.

Scope and Contents Robert Dean Talbott's papers are divided into two parts. The first and smaller part includes some of his professional writing as well as records relating to his work with the UNI Museum. Scope and Contents Professor Eiklor's papers consist primarily of material associated with preparing and delivering instruction in history and the humanities. Scope and Contents This collection arrived in a fairly organized state, with most folders already labeled, but not arranged in chronological order. Dr. Baskerville kept records of his academic life since the late 1980s, when he was studying at the University of Iowa. Therefore, most of this material is related to his classwork, thesis, and dissertation there, and later, to his teaching at UNI. Where possible, we have tried to remain consistent with his labeling. The first series in this collection, Correspondence & Documents, dates from 1957-1964 and includes conference brochures, correspondence, booklets, schedule of events, and programs, as well as news clippings, which largely date from 1957-1958. The second series, Photographs, ranges from 1957-1959 and consists of photographs of the conference from those years. Some have captions written on the back.

Scope and Contents Materials found in this collection include items from university and student participation in the Midwest Model United Nations; the Iowa High School Model United Nations; the Governor's Youth Symposium on United Nations Day; and the United Nations Association-USA Iowa Chapter. This collection consists primarily of materials related to Lyftogt’s teaching duties for the following courses: Humanities, Western Civilization, and American Civilization. Content includes lecture notes; syllabi and course outlines; coursepaks; and quizzes and exams. The papers also include a small sampling of Lyftogt’s publications and ephemeral content (primarily news clippings).
