This collection consists almost entirely of the writings of Fred Cram, including the typescripts of a scholarly book and two long essays, as well as several biographical sketches. It also includes "Notes on Debate" cards compiled by Cram while he worked in the University Archives in the 1950s. Fred W. Cover spent his life in the rural schools of Iowa - as student, then teacher, and, finally, administrator. He attended the Keokuk County Normal Institute, graduating in 1901.
