Scope and Contents

The F.W. Cover collection consists of materials related to Cover’s courses at the Iowa State Teachers College and dates from 1918-1926. Included are his schedule of classes, extension work and correspondence work reports, a transcript, information about credits, and two letters.

Iowa State Teachers College officials represented in the collection are Registrar Charles S. Cory and Department of Natural Science Head Emmett J. Cable.

Biographical / Historical

F.W. (Frederick Warrington) Cover was a student at the Iowa State Teachers College (now the University of Northern Iowa) in the early part of the 20th century. He received a Junior College diploma from ISTC in August 1923. He later worked in Iowa rural schools, including serving as superintendent of schools in Bennett, Iowa.
