This collection consists of a treasurer's book with dates, names, and prices related to the club. Within the book are folded receipts kept within the front cover and others in envelopes within the book’s pages.

Biographical / Historical
The Cap and Gown Club was formed on January 16, 1911 by Iowa State Teachers College students receiving their Bachelor of Arts Degree. The group’s goal was to extend “good fellowship among all candidates for Bachelor of Arts Degree and to add greater dignity to the pursuance of the College Course.” The club existed until 1914.
