Biographical / Historical
Alpha Xi Delta is a national sorority on the University of Northern Iowa (UNI) campus. On January 17, 1965, the Tau Sigma Delta sorority on campus successfully petitioned Alpha Xi Delta to absorb their sorority and become the Delta Chi chapter of the national sorority. This made Alpha Xi Delta the first national sorority at UNI. Since then, Alpha Xi Delta has provided activities for its members as well as sponsored various philanthropic organizations. Since 2009, their philanthropic partnership has been with Autism Speaks.
