Scope and Contents

This collection consists of ISTC ephemeral material including a “Program of Recitations” with annotations in the margins; two copies of the 1932 homecoming events booklet; a Publications Banquet program; a “Study” sign from the Bartlett Hall Self Governing Association; a postcard featuring the Campanile; and the text of the ISTC fight song.​

Biographical / Historical

Elizabeth Vaughn Bennett was a student at the Iowa State Teachers College from 1932-1934. Due to the Great Depression, she dropped out of school and did not finish her degree. While at ISTC, however, she was the Society Editor for The College Eye and a member of the Bel Canto Glee Club.​
