Nancy Fearing Sanders scrapbook
Scope and Contents
This collection consists of a scrapbook compiled by Nancy Fearing Sanders during her first year at ISTC, 1954-1955. The scrapbook contains pamphlets given to first year students such as student handbooks, etiquette guides, registration cards, and name tags. Nancy played violin and there are several handouts from music recitals and orchestra performances in which she performed. There is also a schedule of classes within the School of Music and registration cards regarding her music classes. Nancy was an active member in the Future Business Leaders of America as well as Kappa Phi and the scrapbook contains materials and flyers from these organizations. The scrapbook also contains a green beanie, which the freshman were made to wear. It is accompanied by various newspaper clippings about the beanies on campus.

Some materials in the scrapbook are taped down or loose and some pages are also fragile. Materials need to be handled with care.

Biographical / Historical
Nancy Fearing attended Iowa State Teachers College (now the University of Northern Iowa or UNI) from 1954-1958. She graduated with a Bachelor Degree of Arts in Business Education.
