Muriel Draper Johnson’s scrapbook dates approximately 1909-1913 during her time at Iowa State Teachers College. It includes pictures of ISTC campus buildings and her life in Waterloo and Cedar Falls.

Biographical / Historical
Muriel Draper Wilson, from Waterloo, Iowa, graduated from Iowa State Teachers College (ISTC) in 1909 with her specialization in Public School Music. She later graduated with a Bachelor of Didactics (Bi.D) in 1912 and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in 1913, at which time she was President of the Senior Class and President of Cap and Gown during the Winter term. At ISTC, she participated in the Cecilian Glee Club, Neotrophian Literary Society, Choral group, and Neosingers. She taught at different schools in the midwest, including Guttenburg, IA in 1914. She married Forest Rutherford Johnson I in 1921 and had two children. She died in September 1933 in an automobile accident in Minnesota.
