General Audiovisual Collection

 Collection
Identifier: 21/01/07

Scope and Contents

Audiovisual material was scattered throughout the boxes received by the Archives. Some of the media were labeled with a subject and date. Some had only a subject or a date on a label. However, large portions of this collection were without labels or any other sort of identification when they arrived. The processor arranged identifiable material chronologically and by media format. At this point, none of the material has been viewed by the processor of this collection to verify either the contents or the quality of the information recorded on the media. As time permits, additional material will be identified. Until media have been viewed by Archives staff, there may be delays in making them available to researchers. Most of this collection still requires a great deal of processing in order for it to be completely ready for good work. Boxes 1-3 contain unidentified 1/2" format videotapes. Boxes 4-6 contain VHS videocassettes with subjects and dates taken from labels. They are arranged chronologically. Boxes 7-8 contain CDs and DVDs with subjects and dates taken from labels. They are arranged chronologically. Boxes 9-10 contain VHS format videotape with only fragmentary and incomplete labels. They are in no particular order. Boxes 11-12 contain CDs and DVDs with only fragmentary and incomplete labels. They are in no particular order. Some of these audiovisual recordings have been digitized as .mov and .mp4 files.
