RG 21. Price Laboratory School
Found in 16 Collections and/or Records:
This collection consists of two copies of the program for the show, "Love, Loss, and What I Wore," performed March 24, 2018 by the Cedar Falls Community Theatre. Gish starred in the production and signed one of the programs.
This is a collection of material put together by Bobbette Marie Blaker during the time that she attended the Malcolm Price Laboratory School in the mid-1950s. The collection includes photographs, programs, classwork, and a large scrapbook. This collection is a very good view of student life at the Laboratory School during that period.
Most of this collection consists of programs, publicity, previews, reviews, production photos, and congratulatory notes relating to the productions. The material in Boxes 1-12 is arranged chronologically by the date of the production. Marked director's copies of some of Professor Butzier's productions are in Box 13.
This small collection is strong in the area of the mission and role of the Malcolm Price Laboratory School in the 1980s and 1990s. The files of the Laboratory School Study Team are especially instructive. It also provides good documentation on the threats to close the school in 2002 and then again in 2012.
Professor Duea has been part of the effort to preserve Laboratory School history. In 2015, she began to give some of her papers to the University of Northern Iowa Archives. This collection is under development. Substantial additions to this collections are likely.
