Alice Youngdale Andersen collection
Scope and Contents
The Alice (Youngdale) Andersen collection, dating from 1927 to 1928, contains materials from her time at the Iowa State Teachers College (now the University of Northern Iowa). The collection consists primarily of event programs from campus activities, namely the May Day Festival, recitals, concerts, and plays. A handful of the programs contain handwritten annotations. This collection also includes four pencil sketches drawn by Youngdale, three newspaper clippings, and a copy of the 1928 ISTC yearbook, which includes handwritten annotations in its autograph section.

Biographical / Historical
Alice Andersen, nee Youngdale, was a student at the Iowa State Teachers College (now the University of Northern Iowa) in the late 1920s. She was a freshman during the 1927-1928 academic year. She was a member of the Aeolian Glee Club and the Freshman Commission.
