Kappa Delta Pi (Psi Chapter) Collection
Scope and Contents
The Kappa Delta Pi collection dates from 1927 to 2013, with the majority of materials dating between the early 1980s to 2013. The bulk of the collection consists of photographs from KDP trips, conferences, activities, and more. These photographs arrived at the library in either photograph albums or in commercial photograph envelopes. For preservation purposes, the photos were removed and placed in folders, with page numbers and original order noted.
There are also a number of KDP scrapbooks, which contain administrative papers such as initiation and membership information, chapter and officer information, and initiation correspondence alongside event fliers and chapter photographs. The remaining portions of the collection contain similar materials that are included in albums and scrapbooks. Notably, there are copies of the chapter newsletter, “Kappa Delta Pipeline” and the mini newsletter, “Mini-Pipeline” which provide detailed information about the chapter’s activities. Finally, the collection includes a group of A/V materials, consisting of VHS tapes, digital videocassettes, and floppy disks. Those that are labeled concern the Challenge of Teaching Conference from various years.
Please note that the collection control file includes detailed notes about items within many of the folders. These notes were provided by KDP faculty advisor Becky Hawbaker in 2023.
