Biographical / Historical
The Oratorical Association was a literary society founded at the Iowa State Normal School (now the University of Northern Iowa) in 1893. Membership consisted of members of literary societies at the Normal School. The organization held two Inter-Society contests each year: one between Men’s societies and the other between Women’s societies.
