George D. Glenn Papers

Scope and Contents The George D. Glenn Papers range from 1966 to 1995 and have been arranged into three series. The collection consists of prompt books, photographs, slides, and both sound and visual recordings of theater productions with which Glenn was involved at the University of Northern Iowa. Series 1, Prompt Books, is arranged alphabetically and contains the prompt books for Glenn's productions. Examples include The Alchemist, Hamlet, Noises Off, and Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf. Hazel B. Strayer Papers

Scope and Contents

This collection consists primarily of assignments prepared by students in Miss Strayer’s classes; lecture and demonstration material; and typed copies of poetry and dramatic selections probably used as recitations in those classes. The collection also includes newspaper clippings, two promptbooks, and a small amount of personal correspondence. Some material apparently used for classroom recitations was discarded due to its poor physical condition.

Jay Edelnant Papers

Scope and Contents

The Jay Edelnant papers date from 1970 to 2022 and contain materials from Edelnant’s career. It includes scripts, some of which contain handwritten notes; stage design mock-ups; playbills/programs; show posters; photos on DVDs; and sound tech on CDs. Thank you notes are very common, accompanying almost every show. Newspaper clippings/reviews are more common with the earlier plays. Though included, casting lists, articles researched by the director for the show, and photos are sparse.
