Scope and Contents

This collection consists of one copy of the 1976 "Preview UNI Parents Program.” The program includes handwritten annotations, which were written by Shirely Ptacek, who attended her daughter Julie's freshman orientation that year. It also contains a 2017-2018 Parent & Family Information packet, which details campus services and events. Archived web content was captured using the web archiving tool, Archive-It. Biographical / Historical

The Department of Student Success & Retention provides support and resources for University of Northern Iowa students. The department oversees orientation events, Welcome Week, assists new students, and more. It also supports current students through peer mentoring and coaching.
