Harold and Lois (Severin) Woito collection
Scope and Contents
Collection consists of dance cards from Harold and Lois Woito’s time as students at the Iowa State Teachers College. Many of the cards include handwritten names of dance partners. Also included are copies of The Cresset of Alpha Delta Alpha publication.

Biographical / Historical
Harold Woito and Lois (Severin) Woito attended the Iowa State Teachers College (now the University of Northern Iowa) in the 1920s. Harold was a member of the graduating classes of 1925 and 1926 and had a degree in Manual Arts. While at school, he was active in the Alpha Delta Alpha fraternity and the Aristotelian Literary Society. Lois was a member of the graduating class of 1928 with a Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education. She was involved in V.O.V. Sigma Phi, the Cliosophic Literary Society, the Women’s Athletic Association, Orchesis, the Life Saving Corps, and the Shield Club. Lois and Harold were married in June 1929.
