Scope and Contents

The Clifford McCollum papers dated from the late 1950s to late 1970s and consist of materials from his time as the Department of Science head and the Dean of the College of Natural Sciences. The science staff notes detail departmental work, including events, student organizations, meetings, and departmental announcements. There are also files from the Deans’ Council on campus, which contain correspondence, agendas and minutes, notes, proposals, budgets and other financial information, and more.

Also included are course materials from the classes McCollum taught, such as syllabi, assignment information and prompts, test keys, and lesson notes. Finally, there are copies of the newsletter, The Voice of the Turtle: News of the Iowa Teachers Conservation Camp and Conservation Teaching in Iowa and a handful of files related to programs and committee work.
