Biographical / Historical

The UNI Quarterly was created in 1969, following the Board of Control of Student Publications' decision to replace the annual yearbook, the Old Gold, with a quarterly magazine. Reasons for this switch included lack of interest in the yearbook and low sales. The UNI Quarterly format sought to resemble publications such as Time and Newsweek, with both text and photographs included. The Board of Student Publications voted unanimously to discontinue the publication in 1972 due to continuing low sales and lack of student interest.
