Scope and Contents
This collection contains a course book for the class "Using Cultural Institutions as Extensions of the Classroom," taught by University Museum Director Ronald C. Wilson. The book consists of different assignment prompts, some of which have answers, and field trip descriptions. Topics covered include architecture, astronomy, orienteering, fossils, geology, and more.

Biographical / Historical
The UNI Museum has been in existence in some form since the 1890s and holds over 100,000 items in the following areas: Biology, Geology, History, and World Cultures/Anthropology. It has had various homes on campus and is currently located in Rod Library. Among its many other objectives, the Museum uses material culture to foster critical thinking skills in the form of original research, technology, educational programming, and exhibits.
