Curriculum Guides, 1941-2005

 Collection
Identifier: 21/01/01

Scope and Contents

These guides provide documentation of at least two facets of work at the Laboratory School.  First, they provide a record of the curriculum at the Laboratory School at particular points in time.  Some of these guides are short and specific to a discipline of study.  Others are lengthy and broad in scope.  Second, the guides provide evidence of the scholarship and creativity of the Laboratory School faculty who were frequently involved in pioneering curricular developments.  Among the faculty represented in these curriculum guides are D. Louis Finsand, Judith Gish, Joan Duea, Mary Butzier, Delsie Charais, Joan Hutcheson, Timothy Cooney, Clare Struck, Mary Guenther, and Jody Stone.  While there are a few guides from early years, the strength of this collection is concentrated in the late 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s.
