Women's Physical Education Photographic and Film Collection, 1943-1973

 Series
Identifier: 13/06/01

Scope and Contents

The collection consists of about 200 photographic slide transparencies and about 50 films relating to the women's physical education curriculum, activities, and facilities. It is likely that just about all of the slides and films were created by members of the faculty of the Department of Physical Education for Women from about 1943 through about 1973, with most material from the 1950s and 1960s. Professor Shirley Winsberg was likely the person who shot most of the films. Other faculty members associated with the material include Professors Jean Bontz and Dorothy Humiston.
