Registrar's Subject Files, 1919-1950
Scope and Contents
This small collection consists of subject files created primarily by Registrar Charles Seldon Cory and then maintained and developed to a lesser extent by Registrar Marshall R. Beard. Most of the material is from the 1920s and 1930s, but there is some material from the time periods both prior to and following those decades. This collection offers a good look at the problems that registrars of that era faced in interpreting and evaluating academic credit and student academic standing.
